Subject: Stupid Question:  Proper way to dispose of old battery

Just got my Westco battery from Moss Motors. 



Had a little difficulty extending the leads to the terminals. 

Orientation of Westco battery terminals are opposite of the stock battery

(e.g., positive on right vs. left side).



It also became evident that the Westco is about 1/3 smaller in width than

the stocker.  I made sure that the battery holder/clamp is nice and tight

to keep it from accidentally exiting the rear side fender.



At any rate, what is the proper way to dispose of the battery?
