Okay, let's see if this will result in a lot of flame mail or if y'all are really friendly fellow miatiates, I have been reading and trying to thread the listserver for about a week and I think I may be ready for this; we'll see. One of the first things is to introduce myself...I'm Porter in Memphis, Tn. I have a 95 red, but I don't know what it is as far as a B or C or whatever... I bought it in September and like all others I see here..I LOVE my Miata. It has a cloth interior; AC, and, I think, alloy wheels. I am ususlly not so stupid in other matters, but like a non-connoisseur wine type; I know what I like...and don't care what it is! Just so I won't be so ignorant in future conversations, does anyone know what my Miata is? Again; it has AC, silver spoke wheels, PS, PB, PW, Cruise, radio, power antenna, & headrest speakers. I added halogen lights in the grille 'cuase I hate the way it looks when its eyes are open! I hope to install another type of lighting system, but havn't found the one I want yet as a bolt on. Actually, I want to have some Honda type bullet lights installed ala the Miata Roadster. I formerly owned a Jensen Healey (in a former life) and ever since had been in want of another roadster. I started out to buy a TR-6, but mama wanted the creature comforts since it was to be *her* car. Well, she picked the red (I wanted the black or the new *green*). She said Red suited her better. We got red. A week later, she said I could have it... it was too much trouble, shifting, putting the top up & down and all, but she would still drive it sometimes. Man, now I was really *upset*! You mean I *gotta* drive this baby (heh-heh-heh)? So far I have just enjoyed driving it. I don't put many miles on a vehicle 'cause I work at home and usually go to the bank or PO on errands. We took a weekend getaway to a resort last summer, but nothing since then. Looking forward to the top-down weather again. I have subscribed to the mag, miata.net and am looking for other places to get into conversations with others re these things of passion. One curiousity; why do I see so few people/addresses in the south? Most seem to be either North or West. And, no...it's not cause you can't put a gun rack in the back!!! C'mon you rebels..gimmie a howdy! Porter
