Mike,
This seems to be an increasingly popular radio. Although it is not in my
sig, I have one with the Jeff Anderson splitter. It works great. I have a
'94 with a power antenna, and I opted to activate the antenna by turning on
the built-in radio and turning its volume down to nothing.
Regarding hearing the CB over wind noise, I installed an external speaker
solely for the CB. It is mounted on the bulkhead right above the center
compartment between the seats, and it faces in toward the seating area.
That is far better than having to rely on the small speaker in the
hand-held unit.
It is a great little system, and when I am not interested in using the CB,
I can remove it leaving only the connector. Everything else is now
hardwired into the car.
