I made a Tanner windblocker with a modification. Instead of the "buttons" at the base of the blocker, I opted to use two straps looped around the bottom of the blocker and the stabilizer bar that runs across the back shelf. My question: Is an attachment to the stabilizer bar safe? I don't want the bar damaged by wind buffeting. The two straps essentially support the weight of the blocker and other downward forces generated by the wind. The rest of the blocker is of the same design. There are two straps for attaching to the headrests. I also used black door molding around the edge of the blocker. I think it looks OEM with the molding.
