I need to replace my front tires (why didn't I do any of this stuff when
I was still in the US, without 20.6% tax added, with American prices
and vendors??) Anyway, the up-side is that tire availability for 15"
tires looks like it may be better than the states. My first phone call
reveals the following options for 225/50 - 15 with a "v" speed
rating or better:
Michelin MXW - $320/tire
Michelin SCGT - $227/tire
Pirelli PZero - $229/tire
Dunlop SP9000 - $239/tire
Anybody have any experience with any of these tires? My only
experience with Pirelli is with their P7, great tires but they sure
didn't last very long :-) I've got BFG 255's on the back, since that
is about all that is available in the States. While I'm there
I'll see what they have in wider 15" tires, I wonder if they
still manufacture wider tires in Europe that are not available
in the states?
